Grant Proposal Writing to Raise Funds for Rejuvenating School in Rural India

The Online Volunteers will have the sole responsibility of writing detailed grant proposal to apply for funding. On the basis of project requirements and donors expectations, Online Volunteers should develop a proposal that should be consist of budgeting, monitoring and evaluation aspects. Proposal should be well drafted for generating grants from foundations, institutions, companies etc for the purpose of acquiring resources for a primary/secondary school in rural India. While Online Volunteers can be asked to research potential donor organizations, they will not be asked to contact individuals in their communities or approach their personal contacts. Furthermore, they will not be asked to donate money in-kind or solicit any kind of funds from third parties.

  Universal Versatile Society is a non-political, non-communal & non-governmental voluntary social organization with UNEP accreditation registered under Societies Registration Act-XXI of 1860. The project focuses on a school in the village of Nagthana in Maharashtra, India that is in need of a renovation and additional materials for the holistic development of the children attending. The project is working in collaboration with the teachers and the community to achieve the objectives mentioned below to create an engaging, nourishing environment. Objectives of the project are as follows- 1. Renovation of school by the provision of infrastructure development, 2. Implementation of project-based learning in their curricula 3. Converting the school into digital school with all requisite facilities 4. Should support the intervention of an educational system that is external to the school

• Volunteers: 4 needed

• 6-10 hours per week / 12 weeks

  • Knowledge and prior experience in grant writing • Research and communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Excellent written and verbal communication • Fundraising experience and strong commitment for the task specified
