Job Overview/Summary:

The Grant Compliance Coordinator leads compliance efforts for major and private grant agreements, serving as a trusted compliance resource for colleagues. Primary areas of responsibility involve advising program teams, carrying out quality assurance activities, managing programmatic reporting deadlines, leading external audit efforts, and supporting general compliance for the Atlanta, Miami, and Tallahassee offices. The Grant Compliance Coordinator will work closely with colleagues to ensure staff are well equipped to provide compliant services. This position reports to the HR & Systems Manager.

Responsibilities:

Grant & Policy Compliance

· Provide analysis, evaluation, and oversight to support compliance with grant requirements and organizational policies.

· Responsible for developing and modifying policies, procedures, and systems in accordance with government regulations and organizational needs and objectives.

· Expand current quality assurance systems to include smaller private grants.

· Review grant and contract agreements prior to execution to certify programmatic data collection methods will ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

· Develop and advise program staff in the implementation of SMART tracking tools, ensuring that outputs/outcomes are reliably and accurately measured and reported in compliance with grant requirements & outcomes.

· Partner with Deputy Director and program staff to develop, implement and track compliance with a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) protocol for each grant (at an award level threshold to be determined)

· Lead program monitoring/audit preparation efforts.

· Responsible for tracking and coordinating the satisfaction of compliance deadlines, requirements, and regulation implementation.

· Attend grant opening meetings, HQ programmatic updates meetings, and external donor compliance trainings.

· Liaise with external partners and donors in relation to all reporting and compliance areas in addition to maintaining external donor relations.

· Update all quality assurance efforts in accordance with IRC HQ and external donor compliance updates.

· Other duties as assigned.

Job requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a concentration in business administration, international affairs/policy management, non-profit management, finance and accounting, or related.

· 1-2 years of related experience required, with a demonstrated record of success in supporting program and policy compliance and assisting with audit preparation preferred.

· Excellent computer skills are required - especially MS office suite, email/internet software

· Experience with IRIS, ETO, and RPGIS is strongly preferred

· Experience with the Reception & Placement grant, Match grant, and Preferred Communities grant preferred.

· Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through ability, and proven success in managing multiple and diverse priorities/projects under pressure

· Excellent communication skills

· Proven ability to work as a team member in a cross-cultural environment

· Ability to maintain confidentiality as it relates to sensitive client data.

· Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

· Attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to work independently.

· Good research, data management, and statistical analysis skills.

· Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Work Environment:

· A combination of standard office environment and remote work.
