About the job

As the Global Supply Chain Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Global Supply Chain in professionalizing supply chain functions and overseeing day-to-day operations. You will be acting as a business process expert within supply chain management and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for Supply Chain matters in assigned regions, ensuring quality, risk management and compliance for high-value tenders and derogations.
  • Provide expert advice and support to regional supply chain teams, collaborating with HQ staff across Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as the global subject matter expert in Supply Chain Management (Procurement, Fixed Assets and Logistics: Fleet and Warehouse).
  • Lead and coordinate projects to address performance gaps, enhance compliance, and drive governance improvements.
  • Develop and interpret global policies and build training content to enhance team capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Supply Chain strategy, with a focus on sustainability, digitalization, and standardization.
  • Support internal and external audits with your supply chain expertise.
  • Building strong relationships with Regional Supply Chain organization.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Experience: 5-7+ years in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, preferably in a global organization. Field experience is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in drafting policies, project management, and familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems.
  • Remote Support: Experience providing remote support to regional and country operations is a plus.
  • Donor-Funded Projects & Audits: Experience providing supply chain support for donor-funded projects is highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, with a specialization in Supply Chain or Procurement preferred.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic, Danish, French, and/or Spanish is an advantage.

  • Contract length: The position is permanent
  • Workplace: DRC HQ, Borgergade 10, Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Start date: 1 October 2024
  • Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and AC (Academic Union). This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.
