1. Background/Context

People are NRC’s most important asset; having the ability to recruit, develop and retain talented staff over time are key factors in delivering positive results for NRC’s target populations. NRC aims to significantly increase its investment in people learning and development as a core pillar of one of its key strategic enablers in its Global Strategy 2022-2025 - Value and Build our People. The Global L&D Admin Coordinator is part of the group that contributes to developing and implementing this project.

The Global L&D Admin Coordinator is set to make a key contribution to the ambition of valuing and building our people; this position exists to provide support in specific phases of the Global Learning & Development unit’s work streams and projects.

2. Role and responsibilities

The following is a brief description of the role:

  1. Coordinate learning events and courses: communication, logistics and billing
  2. Manage the NRC learning catalogue: revision, monitoring and reporting (primarily compliance and mandatory trainings)
  3. Manage global L&D information systems - Sharepoint page, documents, resources, information
  4. Support in planning and administering the NRC People Learning Management System (LMS)
  5. Coordinate campaigns and newsletter development
  6. Identify low key learning content (e.g. youtube videos) when urgent need arises
  7. Contribute to improving monitoring and reporting systems about mandatory trainings completion
  8. Produce mandatory trainings reports
  9. Liaise with L&D colleagues to ensure administrative support required in the implementation of the Leadership Journey
  10. Contribute as a member of the LMS working group to the planning and the implementation of the new LMS module in NRC’s HRMiS – NRC People
  11. Transition into the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) once it is up and running (2023)
  12. Organise the translation of global L&D learning products

3. What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year experience in administration, coordination, knowledge management
  • Evidence of good IT skills/ understanding to operate organisational processes
  • Quality orientation
  • Service-mindedness and proven problem-solving capabilities
  • Able to engage with and to coordinate a wide range of diverse actors
  • Strong project management skills
  • Able to work fast
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral - French, Spanish or Arabic would be an asset
  • Experience of coordinating learning/ training programmes is highly regarded
  • Experience of working with internal NRC systems a plus
  • Interest in delivering learning products in the humanitarian context or similar
