An exciting opportunity to head up the HR Global Partner HRMS CORE for a leading international NGO working in Oslo, Norway.

What we are looking for

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient and dynamic HR Global Partner HRMS CORE who will be responsible for the module HR Core in NRC’s HR Management system (Oracle) NRC People, which cover all transactional activities from onboarding through to offboarding. The role will be the subject matter expert towards the HR processes in this module and provide high quality advice, guidance and support across those processes.

The role will work to ensure efficient workflows within the system to support operational HR policy and processes throughout the employment lifecycle. The role will lead on quality assurance and compliance of NRC People Core module, working closely with Regional Offices and Country Offices and other process owners to ensure effective operation of NRC People and support adoption to empower and enable HR, line managers and employees in its use.

What you will do

  1. Lead in the development and maintenance of quality in NRC People Core processes globally in NRC in accordance with the requirements and the decisions of the organisation.
  2. Develop supplementary SOPs and guidance tools to document workflows related to HR processes in NRC People Core module, to continue improve and development the module.
  3. Proactively identify areas for improvement and development in NRC CORE processes and system capabilities, working with the NRC People configuration team to develop timely and relevant solutions.
  4. Ensure a strong focus on stakeholder consultation and embed principles of change management in the implementation of new and updated Core module HR processes and related policies and procedures.
  5. Lead on the development of compliance frameworks to measure implementation and quality assurance of the Core module, utilising and developing data and metrics.
  6. Act as a trusted adviser with key stakeholders in the NRC People team to provide advice and guidance on operational Core HR needs, providing regular forums for information sharing and capacity trainings.
  7. Ensure alignment with NRC HR policies and standards through addressing process requirements with the configuration team for NRC People and advising on new features.
  8. Ensure continuous improvement in the Core module through User Acceptance Testing and user feedback, to ensure the system is aligned to policy, practice and organisational needs.

What you will bring

  • Documented experience of working in human resources in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Professional knowledge and strong understanding of HR processes, policies and HR systems across the employee lifecycle
  • Documented experience from Oracle or other cloud based HRM systems
  • Documented experience in “driving change”
  • Ability to build rapport with and commitment from stakeholders across all levels within an organization
  • Documented/proven results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Arabic and/or French is an added advantage.
  • Relevant education at bachelor level
