- Experience in grants management, project and budget management
- Strong IT skills including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
- Ability to plan, coordinate and lead processes that include multiple stakeholders and interests
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Prior knowledge of and experience in engagement with humanitarian donors including foundations and institutional donors
- Previous experience within an INGO either HQ or country level

Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified coordinator who is able to work in a fast paced environment to support the delivery of multiple emergency responses at any time across DRC contexts.
About the job
The purpose of this role is to coordinate support to country offices for emergency funding, including access to emergency funding such as the Global Emergency Response Fund and Emergency Reserve Fund. The role also supports the emergency team with information and data management, coordination of EMU-managed grants, budget monitoring, grant management, reporting and compliance, fundraising and communications. In addition, the role supports the administrative coordination and tracking of emergency surge deployments. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Coordinate and track Global Emergency Response Fund and ERF allocations and prepare financial and narrative reports adhering to compliance and quality standards
Lead on the coordination of fundraising and communications opportunities for EMU for DRC in Emergencies including development of proposals
Provide overall budget monitoring, financial and grants management and reporting for HQ emergency managed projects
Support the administrative coordination of EMPACT deployments, including tracking deployment requests, deployment status, EMPACT availability, deployment timelines, TORs, required submissions, handover documents etc.
Coordinate information management data and dashboard for global emergencies including international information pages
Support adaptation of policy, guidelines, and tools, contributing to DRC’s emergency programming linked to emergency funding and EMPACT
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have a basic understanding of emergency response in an organization such as DRC and the timely resourcing required, grants and budget experience, proposal writing and reviewing experience, experience working in a fast paced team. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Work location: Lyngbyvej 100, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, just by Ryparken station
Start date: July 27th or as soon as possible thereafter
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and AC. The position is at “fuldmægtig” level. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.
