This is an exciting opportunity to help a leading international NGO reach its global communication goals. You will collaborate with colleagues across NRC to produce content about our humanitarian work, and will communicate about and with our corporate partners.

What we are looking for

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a skilled and motivated Global Communications Adviser with a track record of producing and editing engaging digital content.

What you will do

As Global Communications Adviser, you will:

· Develop communication products, such as web articles, social media posts, newsletters and video scripts.

· Edit and proofread English-language content for use on NRC’s global digital channels.

· Provide support, feedback and mentoring on storytelling and content production to colleagues and external suppliers around the world.

· Contribute to the use and ongoing development of NRC’s English style guide, including training of freelance writers, translators and editors.

· Update the country profiles and factsheets on NRC’s web pages.

· Advise and support NRC’s Global Corporate Partnerships team on external and internal communications.

· Develop and distribute communications and marketing materials relating to NRC’s corporate partnerships, in line with the team’s strategies for media, publications and digital channels. Please download the detailed job description to learn more about the position.

What you will bring

· Native-level English speaker with demonstrated expertise in written communication, including copy-editing and proofreading.

· Documented excellence in writing and editing text for public engagement.

· Ability to advise and motivate others on clear communication, writing and style.

· Experience using social media platforms like LinkedIn for business purposes.

· Higher education (bachelor’s level or higher) within marketing, PR, communications, or another relevant field.

· Experience of marketing communications and/or communication about humanitarian topics.

· Technical skills relevant to digital content production, such as web publishing (we use Optimizely CMS).

· Duty station: NRC Head Office in Oslo, Norway.

· Contract: national contract, 1-year contract.

· Salary/benefits: grade 8 on NRC’s regional salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions.
