Overview
Provide legal advice on international law and administrative matters for FAO.
You have:
- Advanced university degree in law or a first level university degree in Law with additional two years of relevant work experience and professional qualification to practice law in a national/state jurisdiction.
- Between one to ten years of relevant legal experience in public international law, law of international organizations, international administrative law, and contract law.
- Working knowledge (level C) of English.
- Experience with UN System or other intergovernmental organizations related to drafting and negotiation of agreements and digital innovation.
- Ability to carry out legal research and analysis.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports and experience in drafting legal texts.
- Ability to provide legal support in two or more official languages of the Organization.
- Working knowledge of one or more FAO official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) would be highly desirable.
