Job Description

Background/IRC Summary: The Gender, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (GEDI) Unit is a strategic unit and organizational change lever responsible for developing a GEDI vision and strategy for the IRC, and empowering IRC departments to deliver on the DEI Strategy and the GEDI Action Plan. The Unit establish IRC's approach to GEDI, building on the advances we made toward gender equality to strengthen our people, program quality, and influence foundations through a GEDI lens and achieve our GEDI ambitions in key functional areas.

Job Overview/Summary: Reporting to the Chief GEDI Officer, the GEDI Learning and Development Specialist will support the organization-wide, comprehensive GEDI learning development strategy. In this position, you will own the implementation of our Global GEDI learning and training curriculum as well as create content for different categories of staff from senior leaders to frontline staff in order to build skills for inclusive behaviors throughout the organization. You will also provide counsel and subject matter expertise to the organization’s human resources and other learning professionals across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to advance IRC GEDI commitments by building the foundational knowledge and capacity of staff to practice GEDI, and anti-racism and decoloniality n their roles, the workplace, and within their teams.

We are looking for someone creative, solution-oriented, proactive, and has a passion and deep expertise in GEDI learning. The strong candidate will have: an in-depth understanding of intersectional feminism, the relationship between power and knowledge; a good experience working with learning management systems; an understanding of transformative learning theories and decolonization of knowledge; and a working knowledge of instructional design methodologies to deliver effective solutions in a variety of formats.

Major Responsibilities: ------------------------

GEDI learning content design & management ---------------------------------------------

- Lead the implementation and delivery of GEDI learning curriculums for the full organization, - Create GEDI learning content for different delivery channels and platforms by collaborating with the Talent Management department and building on tools already existing - Collaborate as needed with regions, teams, and offices for contextual adaptation of GEDI learning courses and materials. - Conceptualize and produce guidelines and other resources that can be used to improve GEDI knowledge and skills of IRC staff.

· Maintain well-organized resource folder containing existing GEDI learning resources and materials available in the organization.

Data Analytics and Reporting ----------------------------

- Collaborate with Talent Management to Implement GEDI learning data analytics and reporting system that helps assess uptake and impact of GEDI learning opportunities. - Analyze GEDI learning data to identify trends and report gaps and devise solutions - Plan and design monitoring surveys and other means to identify and evaluate needed GEDI learning curriculum improvements

Technical support ------------------

- Provide consultation on the application of a GEDI lens to learning and development needs and solutions as they are brought to or arise within the GEDI, HR team, and other departments as needed - Engage and collaborate with IRC leaders, IRC learning professionals and IRC staff to identify learning areas rooted in employee voice and that support strategic and ground-breaking organizational change

Job Requirements: ------------------

- Bachelor’s degree required; - Proven ability in designing and delivering Gender Equality Diversity and inclusion curriculum and training, preferably in a global non-profit organization; - Deep commitment to and knowledge of strategies to advance Gender, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in different contexts. - Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to synthesize sophisticated information and present information in a compelling manner; - Demonstrated experience managing, curating, and delivering internal learning and development content; - Experience working in two or more of the IRC global locations. - Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects in a multifaceted environment; - A high degree of professionalism and strong work ethic coupled with a sense of responsibility and integrity; - Excellent communication skills, dependability, and the ability to connect with all levels in and outside of the organization; - Able to work independently and productively in a dynamic and fast pacing environment; - Willingness to travel; - French, Arabic, and/or Spanish a plus.
