The Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFP) section within Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) works with National Committees and UNICEF country offices to maximize engagement and drive income growth. There are five teams within the PSFP section, including Global Philanthropy. The purpose of the Faith and membership-based organizations income channel, within the Global Philanthropy unit, is to drive engagement, impact, and income growth from faith and membership-based organizations.

The team provides strategy development and capacity building to National Committees and Country Offices, including working with them to conduct prospect research, provide engagement and cultivation opportunities for global partners, support new business development discussions, share best practices, provide training, and support on prospect cultivation and management. Team members also play a role in the relationship management of key partners.
For every child, a Champion
Under the general guidance of the Faith and membership-based organizations unit manager, the incumbent for this post will be responsible for driving the Faith and membership-based organizations’ income channel, maximizing engagement and income from this audience, supporting the implementation of the global strategy, providing guidance, best practices, and capacity building to key priority markets. The post will be focused on building the fundraising capacity of our markets, supporting them to develop nationally appropriate strategies, develop and manage their pipeline, and secure significant partnerships from within the faith and membership sector.
How can you make a difference?
Grow faith & membership giving revenue stream through market capacity building
- Act as a unit dedicated focal point for a number of National Committee and Country Offices, supporting them in their Faith and Membership revenue stream.
- Collaborate closely with key priority markets to support their new business development and help establish a pipeline of top prospects with defined engagement plans.
- Support the conduct of additional strategic mapping, with the goal to explore new opportunities.
- Support the development of key enablers & tools that will position UNICEF as a partner of choice, and open new opportunities including faith philanthropy such as Fundraising narrative, Due Diligence Principles, communication materials, etc.
Knowledge management & capacity building
- Support the development of best practices and tools, including sharing cross-market learnings.
- Build a global Community of Practice, equipped to collaborate and share best practices.
- Support the management of the unit collaboration sites and intranet sections and ensure important information and knowledge on all priority partnerships is accessible and up to date and supports the appropriate dissemination of information.
DELIVERABLES:
- Growing the income of priority markets, through strategy mapping.
- Support 2 mapping exercises to quantify the opportunity in key priority markets.
- Build a community of practice with fundraisers from National Committee, Regional Office, and Country Offices, with regular calls to train and share best practice.
- Deliver the Faith and Membership newsletter with assets, information and sharing of best practice.
- Maintain and update our knowledge management tools, (such as SharePoint), including developing toolkits, resources and sharing best practice.
- Support on the development of a Faith and Membership training programme designed to build the capacity and skillsets of fundraisers and communications colleagues.
- Support on the delivery of the Faith and Membership Workshop as a meaningful opportunity for learning and collaboration.

Education:

Remarks:
UNICEF PFP-Geneva is currently reviewing organizational changes; therefore, the successful candidates may be asked to commence duties remotely, and they may later be asked to relocate and be assigned to the final post-duty station/location in Berlin.
