Context

NRC External relations (Exrel) is a global team responsible for engaging with private individuals and organization to build awareness of NRCs work and raise resources for NRC, especially unearmarked funds. To do this Exrel has four focus areas; Public Engagement who give a global public voice to NRC and the people we serve; Fundraising who grow our income of unearmarked funding from private individuals; Donor Management who ensure our income from regular donors; Corporate who get grants and pro bono resources from private organizations and high net worth individuals. In addition, there is a Governance function that crosses all these functions focused on legal, financial, human resource and other ‘fit for purpose’ activities.

What you will do

The coordinator Global fundraising is responsible for coordinating fundraising activities towards private individuals globally and across channels. The coordinator also supports on market assessment and research of new fundraising opportunities to grow NRC’s unearmarked funding.

Some of your day-to-day tasks will include;

  • Responsible for development of new and existing fundraising activities globally across channels together with Global fundraising specialist advisers.
  • Implement and coordinate plans for fundraising campaigns and activities.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting results from fundraising activities, support on reporting across section upon request.
  • Support and coordinate on development of donor journeys and communication products, e.g. newsletters, DM, sms, gifts with meaning.
  • Handling testamentary gifts, including procedures and coordination, including external stakeholders e.g. court and juridical bodies.
  • Focal point external suppliers on fundraising productions.
  • Focal point for annual NRK telethon application, research, plan, coordinate, secure information and content.
  • Support on research and market assessments for new fundraising opportunities and / or donor recruitment.
  • Responsible for administrative tasks in the section, e.g. minutes, section reports, file structure, invoicing and reporting routines.

What you will bring

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within fundraising, preferably from an organization.
  • Higher education, minimum bachelor’s degree level, from marketing, sales or other relevant area.
  • Documented experience in developing and implementing income-generating activities.
  • Documented experience with use of CRM -tools for fundraising activities.
  • Documented experience from data analysis as a basis for decision-making.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Skills and attributes: Analytical, structured, Cooperation, Communication, Knowledge about donor centric approach and ability to multi- task and work with short deadlines.
