UNICEF Serbia’s Private Sector Plan (PSP) 2022 is guided by the UNICEF Strategic Plan and UNICEF Serbia's Country Programme Document’s goal to contribute to national efforts to progressively fulfil the rights of all children in Serbia, especially the most disadvantaged and excluded, and enable them to develop to their full potential in an inclusive and protective society respectful of their voice. The PSP aims to contribute to the achievement of UNICEF’s Strategic Plan through increased and sustainable income for the Country Programme in Serbia, to global emergency appeals and to Regional Thematic Funds.

To achieve the planned income growth, UNICEF Serbia needs to strengthen individual donor acquisition and retention through on-line and off-line channels. The engagement of a Fundraising Contractor is necessary to support the growth of individual giving and to secure stable income and further expansion of pledge and cash individual donors.

Work Assignment Overview:

Under the general supervision of the Fundraising Officer, NO-2, guided by the Private Sector Plan for Serbia, a contractor is required to perform a variety of tasks to support planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of individual fundraising activities. Those activities include acquisition and retention of regular donors (pledge) through several different channels: face to face fundraising, telemarketing, recurrent payment SMS (RPSMS), conversion and digital.

Duration of the assignment: 12 months (full-time, office based, with a possibility for extension)

Task description:

  1. Assist with the planning and coordination of fundraising activities related to individual one-off donor acquisition through offline and online channels, including direct marketing activities, proven fundraising channels through co-mailing, telemarketing, e-mails, and digital fundraising campaigns.
  2. Assist with implementation of fundraising initiatives, such as direct mailing to the house list donors, pledge acquisition and retention initiatives, SMS, DRTV campaigns and telemarketing, by providing data analysis, daily monitoring, and reporting.
  3. Coordinate all pledge and one-off payment processing; ensure back-end fulfilment are completed for all individual donors.
  4. Assist in preparation and implementing of donor engagement and stewardship programme in order to improve donor retention and servicing.
  5. Support the efficient processing of donations and ensures high standard of accuracy through data entry in Donor Perfect.
  6. Assist the coordination and overview of the production of e-mail marketing materials.
  7. Ensure timely and accurate reporting on the fundraising related activities.
  8. Support the development and implementation of various innovative fundraising tools.

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

  • Minimum high school degree.
  • At least three years of progressive and measurable work in fundraising, of which at least two years closely related to individual giving fundraising.
  • Knowledge and experience in planning, organizing and analysing.
  • Knowledge and experience in customer relations, administration and database maintaining.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team.
  • Fluency in both Serbian and English.
