How can you make a difference?

The PFP Fundraising and Marketing Services (FMS) team in the Individual Giving unit provides UNICEF National Committees and fundraising country offices with guidance and fundraising content packages for their fundraising campaigns.

The FMS team provides support to all the fundraising markets by developing, curating, repurposing content as well as in building capacities to use this content.

Specific tasks

Under the supervision of the FMS Manager and in close collaboration with various PFP units, the intern will:

• Regularly upload and curate content on Weshare in an effective manner.

• Assist in the gathering and organizing of information around new and existing content for key counterparts inhouse.

• Address queries and request for Weshare searches from National Committees and Country Offices.

• Support the development of global content packages by looking for the right kind of raw footage and images.

• Regularly search different UNICEF websites, social media platforms and blogs for great stories that can be share with the content community.

• Update the content calendar on a regular basis.

• Provide timely support to the team in an emergency (uploads of emergency content to Weshare, creation of documents and any other support required by the team).

• Provide any other technical and operational assistance as appropriate and required by the team.

Modality: Part-time (4 hours per day ), paid.

Reporting To: Fundraising Manager, Fundraising and Marketing Services, Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships

Location: home-based Workplace: teleworking within Europe time zone required.

Internship Duration: One year, starting in April 2023.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme for the whole duration of the internship (one year)
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • Possess strong communications skills and strong analytical / problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a set time frame.
  • Good level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Mailchimp. Analytics software a plus.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
  • Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and
  • Have no other relatives in the line of authority that the intern will report to.
