Under the guidance of the direct supervisor, Fundraising Officer, the Fundraising Associate, Face-to-Face Fundraising, supports the section through providing a range of procedural, administrative, and operational support in developing, implementing, executing and monitoring private sector (PSFR) fundraising activities, ensuring effective and timely delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations. Key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks

  1. Summary of key functions/accountabilities::
  • support to Face-to-Face Fundraising (F2F FR) campaigns development, planning and execution;
  • support to F2F fundraisers’ recruitment and retention;
  • support to monitoring and reporting of F2F campaigns results;
  • support to logistic and administrative tasks.
  1. Support to F2F FR campaigns development, planning and execution:
  • supports the design of F2F FR campaigns, by drafting business plans, forecasts, budgets;
  • implements F2F campaigns in Bucharest and other cities in Romania, as per annual FR workplans;

  • liaises with various suppliers (for example, field marketing agencies) for the implementation of F2F FR campaigns

  1. Support to F2F Fundraisers’ recruitment and retention:
  • recruits new fundraisers in the team;
  • selects potential partners and presents the opportunity for working as a F2F fundraiser (such as: universities, high schools, other partners);
  • supports the onboarding of new fundraisers;
  • supports the development and delivery of various trainings for F2F fundraisers, together with or as a backup for the FR Trainer Consultant;
  • contributes to cultivating and retaining fundraisers by developing and implementing a retention plan for fundraisers;

  • establishes clear individual performance objectives for fundraisers and provides timely guidance to enable the team to achieve their goals

  1. Support to monitoring and reporting of F2F FR campaigns results:
  • permanently monitors campaigns and constantly evaluates results against established campaign KPIs;

  • suggests improvements and takes the necessary measures to achieve campaigns KPIs;

  • fundraising objectives and results (e.g. number of new donors acquired, average donation etc.) are monitored and specific training sessions are implemented for fundraisers to achieve the established KPIs;
  1. Support to logistic and administrative tasks:
  • supports with the preparation, organizing and follow up of different types of events, activities and meetings, field visits, by making the logistical arrangements;
  • drafts Terms of Reference for contractors that provide a service to the section. This includes preparing and filing documents, completing necessary forms and templates, and making necessary logistical arrangements.
  • performs various transactions in VISION;
  • performs other tasks, as required

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Education-Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses in Sales, Communications, Business, Marketing or other relevant field.
  • Experience-Minimum of six years of work experience, in sales, marketing, customer retention / loyalty or fundraising.
  • Language Requirements- Native Romanian, fluency in English, spoken and written.
