How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of Fundraising Officer, the incumbent will assist in developing fundraising strategic plans, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing face-to-face fundraising activities of the inhouse face-to-face team and external face-to-face agencies through hands on and daily management. Also work with the Officer to develop and manage materials for face-to-face activities as well as drive innovation in face-to-face fundraising.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist the Fundraising Officer in driving the growth of UNICEF’s face to face fundraising operation through hands on and daily management of inhouse F2F team and external F2F agencies; planning; implementing; and evaluating and analyzing results.
  • Assist with executing, coordination, and monitoring of recruitment; training; motivational aspects; site and channel management; materials used; processes and back end systems for the F2F programme.
  • Assist with monitoring, supervising, and performance evaluating of the inhouse sales team and logistic team including operation, recruitment, event and site, training and QC, and admin.
  • Assist in developing and managing material for F2F activities.
  • Assist in implementing best practice or test of F2F techniques based on UNICEF’s extensive global networks and global experience.
  • Effectively manage and communicate with F2F suppliers, partners, and related parties to achieve programme goals.
  • Monitor and report on progress of F2F activities against the work plan and targets. Ensure information and data for further analysis is accurately in ready to use format as well as identify and act on areas where improvement is needed.
  • Visit F2F sites to conduct field work when required.
  • Ensure an effective administrative support provided to the Fundraising Officer as well as Private Sector and Fundraising team as and when required.
  • Assist on other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications of Successful Candidate

  • Completion of secondary education is required, preferably University degree in related field, i.e. Marketing, Communication.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the field of supporting sales/marketing or fundraising combined with some administrative work experience.
  • Experience in face-to-face fundraising or direct sales marketing is essential.
  • Good organizational and communications (oral and written) skills.
  • Service-minded with a pleasant personality and good interpersonal skills.
  • Tact, discretion, self-starter, and good judgment.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of computer applications. Training and experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other UNICEF software such as SharePoint; knowledge of integrated management information systems required.
  • In-depth knowledge of UNICEF organizational structure, administrative policies, and procedures is a plus.
  • Good planning and prioritizing skills and abilities.
  • Ability to deal patiently and tactfully with clients.
  • High sense of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals and to provide guidance to more junior support staff.
  • Fluency in English and Thai is required. Knowledge of another UN language is considered as an asset
