How can you make a difference?

Under the guidance of the direct supervisor, Fundraising Officer, the Fundraising Associate, Corporate Fundraising (FR), supports the section through providing a range of procedural, administrative, and operational support in developing, implementing, executing and monitoring private sector (PSFR) fundraising activities, ensuring effective and timely delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations.

Key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks

  1. Support to corporate fundraising strategy development, planning and execution:
  • supports establishing long term partnerships with new and warm corporate partners and building a sustainable income;
  • assists with the development, planning and execution of fundraising initiatives and resource mobilization from the business sector;
  • assists with identifying new potential corporate partners, with a focus on the ones with high potential for customer and employee fundraising;
  • performs the due diligence process in dedicated platforms, according to UNICEF rules and regulations;
  • drafts the documentation necessary for the meetings with potential corporate partners: (presentations, project proposals etc.) and meeting reports.
  1. Support to monitoring and reporting of corporate fundraising results:
  • assists with tracking results of corporate fundraising initiatives;
  • assists with reporting on specific KPIs for corporate fundraising on dedicated platforms and tools;
  • liaise with relevant team members for developing and submitting corporate fundraising reports within established deadlines;
  • ensures data entry and accurate and timely recording of corporate donors and corporate employees pledge donors in Donor Perfect Online and other platforms and tools.
  1. Support to corporate donors servicing:
  • assists in preparation and implementing of donor nurture plan for corporate partners (drafts presentations, newsletters, inputs the development of videos and specific communications assets, as relevant);
  • provides support for organizing field trips with corporate partners;
  • responds to corporate partners’ requests I a timely manners and liaises with relevant team members, in order to collect the necessary programmatic, financial etc. information;
  • collects and is updated with various information relevant for corporate fundraising, fiscal regulations, sponsorship law etc.
  1. Support to logistic and administrative tasks:
  • contributes to drafting and developing sponsorship contracts with corporate partners, respecting UNICEF rules and regulations;
  • supports with the preparation, organizing and follow up of different types of events, activities and meetings, field visits, by making the logistical arrangements;
  • drafts Terms of Reference for contractors that provide a service to the section. This includes preparing and filing documents, completing necessary forms and templates, and making necessary logistical arrangements.
  • performs various transactions in VISION;

performs other tasks, as required.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Education -Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses in marketing, social science, economics, political studies or related field.
  • Experience -Minimum of six years of work experience, including in the private sector – of which account management / client service are preferable, marketing, sales, project management are considered as well.
  • Language Requirements -Native Romanian, fluency in English, spoken and written.
