The UNICEF Ecuador office contributes to the implementation of the country program with funds that are raised by the fundraising team. To get the funds, it uses different fundraising channels to convert prospects to donors, who continue supporting the cause with a recurring monthly donation and as long as possible.

Fundraising is done thru acquisition channels such us Face to Face, Telemarketing, Digital and DRTV.

The CO plans to continue mobilizing financial resources to cover the requirements of the Ecuador CPD, as wells as to generate funds for regular resources, regional thematic funds, and emergencies.

How can you make a difference?

The main purpose of the post is to prospect and attract recurring donors to increase the donor base and ensure the financing sought for the implementation of the country program. Under the general supervision of the Individual Giving Officer and the guidance of the Fundraising Manager, this post will support in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the fundraising acquisition strategy and the management and supervision of the different acquisition channels.

Provide technical support to the preparation of the Individual Fundraising plan with campaigns calendar, objectives, metrics and KPI´s.

  • Provide technical support in the establishment of campaign KPI´s and criteria for strategies, systems, performance, evaluation, goals, content, tools and timming of the different acquisition channels activities and campaigns.
  • Compile and analyze relevant data from the individual fundraising operation, other fundraising competitors and the market, to suggest new and innovative actions aimed to achieved new donors through the different channels.
  • Analyze and define segmentations for prospecting campaigns.
  • Under the supervision of the Fundraising Officer prepare the documentation of the project, workplans, budgets and proposal for implementation agreements.

Regular monitoring and evaluation of activities are carried out in accordance with the work plan to ensure maximum impact and continuos improvement of individuals fundraising activities.

  • Provide technical support for the negotiation and agreements with suppliers that implement tha acquisition campaigns.
  • Follow up the implementation of activities and campaigns an interact with the suppliers to achieve the goals for each channel.
  • Provide guidance to the acquisition channels coordinators and suplliers to improve donor procurement and donor quality.
  • Monitor and prepare reports of performance indicators to continue or adjust the work plans to ensure the maximum impact of the acquisition campaigns in each channel.

Promote cross-functional coordination and collaboration with other areas:

  • Provide technical support to other PFP colleagues and areas by identifying and using performance indicators and reports.

Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with partners

Administrative matters:

  • Review supplier pre-invoices.
  • Follow up of payments, preparation of documents related to campaigns among others.
  • Provide support to search and evaluate potential suppliers, prepare terms of reference for quotations. Follow up quotation process.
  • Monitor budgets and financial expenditures of section, ensuring compliance with UNICEF rules and regulations, keeping supervisor informed and advised on actions for decision/follow up.
  • Maintain reports updated and the flow- of on-going administrative activities and other routing matters.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education is required and a professional and/or university courses related to the field or work are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in marketing, promotional or fundraising areas. Experience in working for international organizations would be desirable.
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
