You have:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Social Communication, Marketing, Finance, Social Development, International Business or other related social science.
  • One year of relevant professional work experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, communication, public relations, or training.
  • One year of relevant professional work experience preferably leading Face to Face programs.
  • Fluency in Spanish and proficient in English is required.
  • Experience in leading Face to Face programs is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is desired but not mandatory; candidates may have to improve English if selected.

Contract

UNICEF Mexico has developed a fundraising program by promoting individual giving in order to finance different programs for children in the country and Face to Face (F2F) has been the main program with a sustain growth year by year.

The F2F campaigns consists of a team of recruiters who amplify the actions undertaken by UNICEF among the public; raising awareness about the situation of children in Mexico, positioning the public agenda with a focus on the rights of children and adolescents, building relationships and mobilizing funds, inviting the public to be part of the fund with a recurring economic donation.

UNICEF has successfully implemented F2F campaigns increasing the number of monthly donors for more that ten years. This position will manage and ensure the operation of the Face to Face program aiming to achieve the established goals and contribuiting to the correct implementation of all the F2F campaigns in terms of timing and results.

How can you make a difference?

The Fundraising Officer Face to Face will be responsible, under the Acquisition team, for the development of the strategy and evaluation of the Face to Face donor recruitment channel in accordance to PFP (Private Fundraising and Partnership) objectives. He or she will supervise and manage the Face to Face (F2F) In House campaigns implemented in Mexico ensuring goal achievement and assuring quality control.

1. Planning and Strategy

Under the supervision of the Fundraising Officer Acquisition and the general supervision of the Individual Giving Specialist, the incumbent will define the strategies, contents, designs, components, and timing of the different Face to face activities and campaigns defined in the PFP Annual Plan.

Responsible of developing the annual plan for the F2F strategy considering analyzing and defining strategies and tests considering the main Key Performance Indicators of the program such as SPH (sign up per hour), average donation, payment rate and attrition. Together with the Fundraising Officer Acquisition, establish a work plan and time line for the implementation of new campaigns, testing and innovative processes within the program, including planning, profitability analysis, training, and benchmark analysis. Establish a working culture in the F2F program oriented to productivity and quality which will be constantly reviewed with the acquisition team. Develop monthly and annual projections of the program, considering human resources plan, travel, expenses, productivity, among others

2. Implementation and Monitoring of the F2F Channel

Provides technical and strategical support in the establishment of campaigns KPIs criteria (reporting, systems, performance evaluation, goals). Provides technical support for the negotiation and agreements, looking for the best possible conditions for UNICEF and maintain a positive relationships with all suppliers related to the campaign. Perform weekly monitoring of main KPIs: sign up rate, average gift, conversion rate, average age of donors, and attrition rates. Manage the general performance and support the correct decision-making and action with the cities according to the results and needs of the program. Establish a culture of daily, weekly and monthly monitoring working with the data base team and communiting main finding and promoting changes fast and on time with the field team and the agencies.

Provide timely follow-up to ensure that incident levels are kept to a minimum and ensure that incident reports are responded timely and appropriate manner in coordination with the Quality Control and Administration team. Perform qualitative and quantitative performance reports and analysis of results.

3. Relation Managment

Providing guidance and follow up to a extended team staff under his or her supervision focusing in maximizing the Face to Face In House programa as part of the Individual Giving strategy.

Lead and manage an extensive team considering the development of strategies with the Field Managers, City Coordinators, Operations and Venues team, ensuring the correct coordination between areas and communication with the Individual Giving team (retention, data base, digital). Promote the continuous training programs at all levels (fundraiser, team leader, coordinator), exchange learning among cities and programs.

Supervise the management of external agencies that provide service to the channel, making recommendation and implementing strategies in order to achieve results.

Collaborates on the development of training activities to ensure effective performance in administrative services management. Implements effective staff learning and development programme activities for capacity building.

4. Reporting, Analysis and Decision Making

Undertakes diverse types of analysis of the information to improve and ensure campaign goals, fulfillment and attrition rates. Monitors, prepares and lead preparation of reports for the supervisor of the agreed performance indicators to drive more efficient management and accountability for results. Researches, synthesizes and compiles qualitative and quantitative data and information to facilitate the preparation of reports, objectives, activities, etc. Work with UNICEF international and regional teams to share information, best practices and identify new opportunities to be implemented 5. Administrative processes Ensures the timely and cost-effective provision of services than enhances the F2F program including agencies, uniform, paper based material, equipment among others. Considering planning the bidding and supply UNICEF´s processes are in compliance with the organization's administrative policy, procedures, rules and regulations. Control the expenses of the program ensuring a good communication with finance and agencies in terms of invoicing and contracts follow up.

Supports the Inter-Agency Operations Management Team's approaches for enhancing UN common services to attain efficiencies and effectiveness. 6. Partnership, coordination and collaboration As required, under direction of the supervisor, collaborates with other agencies, internal teams, other NGO’s and implementing partners on the elaboration and implementation of the F2F strategy including information exchange and harmonization. Work closely with the Individual Giving team, including data base, telemarketing, digital, retention, and also with the Operations and Program area of the office.

Constant communication with F2F manager/acquisition officer in other countries and regional and/or global office F2F specialist.

The following required education, experience, and languages:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Social Communication, Marketing, Finance, Social Development, International Business or other related social science.
  • One year of relevant professional work experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, communication, public relations, or training.
  • One year of relevant professional work experience preferably leading Face to Face programs.
  • Fluency in Spanish and proficient in English is required.

You may also have the following desired education, experience, and languages, although they are not mandatory:

  • Technical or university courses in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Social Communication, Marketing, Finance, Social Development, or related social science field.
  • Experience in leading Face to Face programs is highly desirable.
  • Fundraising working experience.
  • Working experience in International Organizations.
