How can you make a difference?

Under the general guidance of the Corporate Fundraising Officer, the Fundraising Associate will be responsible for supporting the growth of UNICEF Philippines Corporate Fundraising Program and Major Donor Program aligned to PFP’s strategic plan.

The role involves close collaboration and partnership with other members of the Private Fund raising and Partnerships Team and the Communication Section particularly on delivering a strategy for building the corporate donor database.

The post requires coordinating and implementing all corporate fundraising plans and budgets with PSFR and Regional Support Centre.

The post is also responsible for optimizing the digital platforms available for fundraising activities to promote donor acquisition and retention as well as developing new corporate fundraising and communication initiatives and implementing these to achieve income, donor acquisition and retention targets. The post entails analyzing and preparing reports on the performance of corporate fundraising activities and initiatives.

Under the general guidance of the Corporate Fundraising Officer, the post shall undertake the following:

1. Assist in the development and implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy, from new donor prospecting to donor retention guided by existing policies and guidelines, with the aim of growing total corporate fundraising income.

2. Assist in the development of a donor retention plan and oversee its implementation. This may include site visits, regular meetings and reporting, and facilitating and providing access to technical information and experts relating to the different UNICEF program areas.

3. Carry out administrative and operational tasks for corporate fundraising activities, including managing the corporate donor database. Maintain records and ensure these are kept up to date. This also includes ensuring corporate donations are collected, reported, allocated, and utilized in a timely manner, corporate donor reports are submitted on schedule, site visits are organized to high standards, and corporate requests are addressed.

4. Collaborates in forming emergency preparedness plan. In case of emergency, participates in monitoring and assessing the nature and extent of the emergency in the assigned area. Coordinates and provides assistance to the Country Office in identifying where support is required in terms of immediate response as well as long-term strategy and plan.

5. Manage and provide operational support to agencies, contractors and suppliers engaged to carry out the corporate and major donor fundraising program, so they perform to high standards. Assist in the evaluation of their performance in order to ensure deliverables are met prior to payment. Prepare contracts and partnership agreements relating to the corporate and major donor fundraising initiatives. Process payments relating to the same.

6. Provide customer support such as entertaining donor inquiries via mail, email, phone, social media, etc. and perform other related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

7. Keep up to date with PFP global plans, strategies and guidelines and best practices to ensure all global best practice and key learnings are utilized and applied to corporate and major donor fundraising in the Philippines.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education is required and a professional and/or university courses related to the field of work are highly desirable. A university degree is most preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in corporate social responsibility, institutional/business/corporate or any other relevant function. Experience in working for international organizations would be desirable.
  • Background in private sector fundraising for a not-for profit organization is a plus.
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written, is required.
