Duties and Responsibilities The UN’s Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) is responsible for defining the strategic direction for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to the UN Secretariat. It provides oversight of ICT programmes, budgets and decision-making to ensure alignment with the Secretariat’s overall ICT strategy. The Strategic Solutions unit at India is supporting various ICT development initiatives for its HQ at Vienna, Austria. In this unit we are looking for Full Stack Web Developer - ASP.NET who is motivated to comprehend, conceptualize, and produce effective software solutions. Within delegated authority, and in close cooperation with the Software Production Coordinator, the Full Stack Web Developer - ASP.NET will be responsible for the Duties and Responsibilities mentioned below. o Participate in the development, programming, testing, debugging and implementation of new application systems releases, modules, and functionalities. o Provide expertise in developing, testing debuging and implement computer application systems and programs using established standards for IT technologies, programming languages and tools, namely: .Net Core, C#, Visual Studio, Scrum, Agile, Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud. o Develop, test, debug, implement and maintain applications using UN standard web based and client server development frameworks and technologies .NET core, NET framework, C#, MS SQL Server, MariaDB, Elastic Stack, Angular, D3. o Prepare technical and user documentation for deployed computer application systems, as well as training materials and conduct technical presentations. o Maintain functional specifications for computer application systems, programs, and procedures developed and/or modified. o Ensures data security and integrity. o Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/special skills Skills: The knowledge and hand-on skills of ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, AngularJS, Angular 8, NodeJS, JavaScript and jQuery. Academic Qualifications: A first-level university degree/diploma in computers is required. Experience: Minimum ten years of experience in ICT domain and at least seven years’ experience in ASP.NET is required. Language: Good command in English is required.
