You have:
- Experience in agricultural training and development
- Ability to develop training materials and deliver trainings
- Knowledge of food security issues and best practices
- Experience working with farmer groups or communities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- To work closely with FSL coordinator and other FSL team members in building the capacity of farmer groups and pastoralist communities through brain storming and introduction of new techniques to increase productivity
- Organizes schedules of land and equipment use, assesses field site characteristics, select field locations and plans for tillage operations.
- Coordinates provision of agricultural inputs and tools, maintain records of beneficiaries and distributions
- To provide overall technical support to farming community through trainings, experiments and developing production methods to improve household food production and income of the communities.
- Produce detailed agricultural training materials and deliver trainings to beneficiaries.
- To help with the establishment of farmer cooperatives and building their capacities
- Providing technical support to the Field extension workers to maximize the impact of the trainings (based on ToT methodology);
- Establishing and motivating agricultural committees to support in on-going projects
- Training farmers on the correct methods on the various stages of cultivation and maintaining an agricultural technique demonstration farms.
- Carrying out assessments of agro pests and post-harvest management practices or any food security issues when required;
- Participate in community sensitization of any community related activities related to food security and livelihoods
- Working closely with the FSL team to plan the day-to-day activities to ensure that program goals are achieved and submit weekly reports;
- Developing training plans and monitoring their implementation by field extension workers;
- Assist the FSL coordinator in developing BoQs / budget for any training and/ or workshop and constructions concerned with livelihoods, demonstration plot etc.
