ACTED HQ

ACTED’s headquarter has been established in Paris in 2000 to coordinate the organization’s interventions on a more global scale. Today the HQ is composed of around 100 people in the HR, Finance, Programs, Audit, Security, Logistics & Systems and Communication departments. These departments provide support to the missions on the field (in 37 countries) composed of 430 expatriates and more than 4,800 national staff. The HQ in also the focal point for ACTED’s upper management, including the CEO, the Director of Development and the fifteen members of the Board of Directors.

You will be in charge of

The Project Intern, under supervision of the Project Manager, is responsible for contributing to the overall success of the ACTED HQ project “1Planet4All”. This project, funded by the European Union, aims to sensitize and mobilize young people on climate issues, and centers on communication activities, events, and the strengthening of youth capacities and initiatives. The Project Intern supports with the effective and timely completion of activities, delivery of quality outputs and achievement of outcomes with maximum impact for beneficiaries.

Project Implementation Follow-up

  • Support with the preparation of the work plan and time schedules for implementing the project activities
  • Support the implementation of the various project activities with stakeholders in HQ and in the field ensuring that technical quality and standards are considered and respected during project(s) implementation
  • Help manage the project’s communication tools and channels, as well as the production of informational material

Administration and Operational support

  • Support the implementation of ACTED’s administrative and financial procedures, in particular to prepare procurement documentation and keep records of project activity documents
  • Support the monitoring of the project’s outreach in terms of outputs and targets, using ACTED’s M&E systems
  • Contribute to the preparation and drafting of reports to the consortium lead and the donor.
  • Contribute to the follow-up and preparations on new funding opportunities for ACTED

External Relations

  • Participate in project coordination meetings, as relevant with consortium partners
  • Support the exchanges and joint activities with the project beneficiaries and institutional partners

Expected skills and qualifications

  • Education in social sciences, humanities, or similar field, preferably Bac+3
  • Dynamic team-player, and good external presentation
  • Reliable, patient, and attentive to detail
  • Flexibility, autonomy, and ability to multi-task
  • Good interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a range of environments and situations
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Interest for sustainable development and youth issues
  • Knowledge of social media and of design & publishing tools such as Canva are assets

Conditions

  • Monthly salary: 850€ net
  • Food Vouchers (9€)
  • 50% of transportation costs taken in charge
