Result of Service It is expected that the results of the study provide indicators that provide greater knowledge about the Brazilian agribusiness performance against international trade.

Work Location Brasília

Expected duration 240 Days

Duties and Responsibilities The modernization of agriculture that took place in the mid-1960s generated expansion of production, becoming one of the main dynamos of growth of the Brazilian economy, and, thus, establishing new frontiers for the commercialization of agricultural products. Therefore, it caused a greater diversification of the export agenda and added value to commodities. The world market is still not fully open, especially in the face of barriers in relation to Brazilian agribusiness products, despite Brazil’s vocation to export agricultural products. Therefore, the greater presence of agribusiness products in the international market is important to surpass performance levels on the international market. Thus, studies are needed that seek to evaluate the contribution of the international insertion of Brazilian agribusiness, mainly seeking to verify the effect of the terms of trade between Brazil and some of its partners in international trade. Furthermore, it is also necessary to carry out analyzes related to foreign trade, seeking to verify the participation in foreign trade of the main commodities exported by Brazil. The proposed study aims to provide a detailed diagnosis of the effect of the terms of trade between Brazil and some of its partners in international trade, while at the same time intending to measure the participation in foreign trade of the main commodities exported by Brazil
