Description of Organization: The Bureau for Development, Democracy, and Innovation (DDI) integrates technical expertise with values-driven, cross-cutting priorities and modern approaches to the way USAID performs its work. It provides client-centered technical services to USAID’s missions worldwide, supports programming to innovate, learn and address emerging issues, and provides technical leadership within the Agency and externally to enhance development impact. The Program Office (PO) manages the core program functions for the DDI Bureau to operate effectively. The Office defines and maps Bureau-wide processes, sets standards, provides Bureau-wide templates and systems, and coordinates beyond DDI. The functions of the Bureau and Offices are described in ADS 101.

Description of Position: This position’s main role is to support four USAID’s processes that contribute to the Agency Approach to Field Services (AAFS). These processes are Unified Travel and Mission System (UTRAMS), Development Information System (DIS), Country Support Networks (CSN), and the Technical Services Portal. This position will coordinate user engagement and analyze data within these processes thereby enhancing USAID’s role in providing timely and effective support to USAID Missions around the globe.

Candidates must: ● Be a U.S. citizen. ● Be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Expert oral and written communication skills, including the ability to translate and articulate Agency priorities and policy as they relate to the monitoring and evaluating of US Government activities.
  • Ability to deftly manage multiple long-term deadlines with urgent taskers and priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Experience with Data Science (Data Warehousing, Tableau Visualizations) and Agile Software Development Methodology preferred but not required.

To qualify for the FS-02 position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (FS-03 or GS-13) of this position. Examples of specialized experience include:

  • Applying knowledge of information systems and business processes to provide advice and guidance, develop reporting metrics, and maintain data analysis;
  • Interpreting data across multiple systems to produce, create and maintain briefings, presentations, data analysis and other products;
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the program; AND
  • Engaging and maintaining relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
