The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Viet Nam is looking for a qualified and passionate candidate for the post of Partnerships Officer (Business for Results - B4R), based in Ho Chi Minh City.

How can you make a difference?

You will play a critical role in advancing the implementation of UNICEF’s partnership with Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and other business stakeholders. It will map and scan the partnership environment, supporting the Strategic Partnerships Specialist to identify and broker new alliances.

Your work will have a strong focus on child protection and child rights, working closely with VCCI, private sector partners and business associations, especially on two programmatic areas, notably prevention of child labour and parenting programmes in the workplace. You will also provide support other HCMC-based B4R programme initiatives, such as breastfeeding in the workplace, etc.

Summary of key functions/accountabilities:

- Provide technical support to the Partnerships Specialist and Programme colleagues regarding development and implementation of B4R strategies.

- Support mapping of B4R partnerships, provide technical support and facilitate the relationship between UNICEF and HCMC-based business partners. Explore other relevant opportunities for linking business and programme strategies.

- Provide support in the execution of the resource mobilization strategy from public sector and business, linking to the programme results. Engage with partners on concrete initiatives, linked to programmes initiatives that are supported by them.

- Provide support in the identification and prioritization of potential Business and Public Sector stakeholders who can contribute significantly to achievement of country office results.

- Enhance awareness of, and providing training on, child rights to private providers and business investors.

- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the holistic parenting programme in the workplace in HCMC. Organize events that promote and disseminate the Parenting in Workplaces programme; support the expansion of this programme to scale; and document good practices and lessons learned.

- In close collaboration with the Child Protection Section, support the implementation and monitoring of the child labour prevention in the workplace programme in HCMC. Contribute to the development of a strategy for reducing child labour including key partnerships that will enable key goals to reduce child labour and improve child rights in workplaces.

- Support the implementation of the partnership with VCCI in HCMC in collaboration with Social Policy and Governance section.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

- A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Education: International Development: Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or another relevant technical field.

- A minimum of one year of practical professional work experience in one or more of the following areas is required: international development, education, child rights, sustainability, marketing, media, account management.

- Proven track record in developing relationships across business sectors and professional groups.

- Demonstrable track record in human rights in work or as a volunteer.

- Fluency in English is required.

- Knowledge of an additional UN language is an added asset.
