How can you make a difference?

The ECD Officer reports to the Education Manager (Early Childhood Development) for supervision. The Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for early childhood development programmes/projects with a focus on early learning and development through play-based early learning approaches within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative program tasks.

To qualify as a/an [champion or advocate] for every child you will have…

• A university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, public administration, public health, nutrition, economics, psychology, sociology, human development, child development, family studies or another relevant technical field.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education, particularly in relation to play-based early learning approaches for children birth to 6 years, is required.
• Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
• Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset.
