Morobe Development Foundation Inc. (MDF) is developing a comprehensive proposal for our "Empowering Youth Through Digital Skills" project. This initiative aims to establish 10 digital learning centers across rural communities in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea, over the next two years.

Specifically, the project will focus on: 1. Providing digital literacy training to 5,000 young people aged 15-25; 2. Offering advanced IT skills courses to 1,000 participants; 3. Creating a mentorship program connecting skilled professionals with aspiring young entrepreneurs; 4. Developing a mobile app to extend learning opportunities to remote areas.

This project directly contributes to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) in the PNG context by: - Addressing the high youth unemployment rate (currently at 2.8% for ages 15-24) by equipping young people with in-demand digital skills; - Promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in the growing tech sector of PNG; - Supporting the PNG government's Vision 2050, which emphasizes the importance of human capital development and technological advancement.

Additionally, the project contributes to: - SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing access to modern, relevant educational resources; - SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by ensuring equal participation of women and girls in digital skills training; - SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by focusing on rural and underserved communities.

The financial planning support from Online Volunteers will be crucial in developing a sustainable and impactful project proposal, potentially transforming the lives of thousands of young people in Papua New Guinea and contributing to the country's sustainable development goals.
