Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position is assigned to the Financial Management Division (PFFM) within the Procurement, Portfolio and Financial Management Department (PPFD). You will be based at our People's Republic of China Resident Mission office in Beijing, PRC.
You will report to Director, PFFM, international staff and officer.
Your Role
As a Financial Management Analyst, you will provide technical, analytical, and coordination support for the daily operational and administrative requirements of PFFM. The responsibilities may encompass providing support for several activities, including : (i) assisting in financial management supervision during implementation; (ii) conducting financial due diligence during project processing; (iii) performing portfolio analysis and generating reports; (iv) facilitating the processing and implementation of technical assistance projects; (v) assisting with general tasks related to PFFM; and (vi) providing coordination support to one or more assigned supervisors, as detailed below.
Though the position is based in People's Republic of China, you can be assigned to work on tasks in other developing member countries of ADB as needed.
You will:
Financial management monitoring during implementation.
Financial due diligence during project processing.
Support the financial due diligence for project processing following ADB's requirements while exercising discretion:
Portfolio analysis and reporting.
Prepare and/or help prepare analytical reports:
Support technical assistance (TA) processing and implementation.
General PFFM tasks:
Coordinate and support assigned supervisors:

This opening is a local staff position. It is open only to nationals and residents of People's Republic of China.
This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of three (3 ) years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 ("Recruitment and Appointment'). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may be renewed for a period of up to three years, or not renewed. There is no limit on the number of renewals. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
