Overview
Assist clients with financial literacy and coaching
You have:
- Strong interest in working with international clients.
- Familiarity with a coaching model and related activities.
- Proven ability to work with consideration and respect for cross-cultural differences.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs and internet research.
- Enthusiasm for helping people to learn and demonstrated professionalism.
- Interns must be able to work at least 15 hours a week for at least three months.
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support facilitation of credit education and financial literacy training with clients
•Support continued curriculum development for workshops covering financial literacy topics, particularly focused on digital literacy and avoiding scams
•Research local agencies and organizations to expand community partnerships for client referrals and support advocacy efforts
•Develop personal finance tools and resources, including translatable user guides, to share with clients
•Assist clients with IRC’s Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO) loan applications and access to bank accounts
•Attend staff meetings, team meetings, and training related to the position
•Provide general administrative support

This position is unpaid and reports to the Employment Specialist.
