The Financial Analyst (FA) position is located in USAID/Senegal’s Tambacounda field office and is a member of the Office of Financial Management (OFM). The FA serves as the financial management experts for the Mission’s strategic and technical teams in Senegal and the limited presence offices in Niger, Burkina Faso, Chad, Mauritania, and The Gambia. The Financial Analyst serves as the Controller’s representative regarding program activities. As members of the technical teams, they are empowered to conduct financial management functions in accordance with OFM’s Delegation of Authority in order to achieve the program objectives including: (1) the financial aspects of implementing and evaluating USAID programs and activities; (2) evaluating their internal financial operations and practices; and, (3) providing technical assistance to support of local capacity development of local organizations and host government entities. The FA is supervised by the Deputy Controller and maintains close working relations with the Chief Accountant and Controller with whom s/he addresses major policy and operational issues.
