Overview
Assist in financial functions and maintain financial documents in NRC standards.
You have:
- Experience from working as a Finance Assistant/Accountant.
- Professional knowledge of accounting.
- Fluency in Ukrainian/Russian both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of the context in the areas NRC operates.
- Experience from working with local financial institutions and tax authorities.
- Knowledge of legal tax base for the representation office.
- Experience with start-up of humanitarian/recovery or related programmes is an asset.
Contract
This is a Professional contract, Grade 4 (NRC) contract. More about Professional contract, Grade 4 (NRC) contracts.
Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Assist with the implementation of the Finance function portfolio according to plan of action
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Supporting finance team with filing, scanning and maintaining organized filing system with all financial and accounting documents and ensure filing is done according to NRC standards
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the Finance function
- Contribute to identification of protection risks and needs in the context of program implementation
- Ensure NRC finance, HR, logistics guidelines are followed
- Any other duties that will be assigned by Finance Officer/Coordinator
- Assist Fin coordinator/officer for internal and external Financial & Systems Audits conducted at NRC Ukraine
Specific responsibilities:
- Maintaining cash and prepare daily cashbox reconciliations
- Making payment in different filed location
- Support in banking related issues
- Set up financial systems
- Establish relationships with local financial institutions and tax authorities

- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
