This is a Professional contract, Grade 4 (NRC) contract. More about Professional contract, Grade 4 (NRC) contracts.

The purpose of the Finance Technical Assistant position is to contribute to the day-to-day implementation of the finance unit responsibilities. Responsible for petty cash payment, suppliers’ payments, bank transfers, reconciliations of bank accounts.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for petty cash payments & ensure that the cash payments are correctly recorded in cashboxes and cash count is conducted on daily basis.
  2. Responsible for clearing all suppliers’ payments, including Checking of all supporting documents in compliance with NRC rules and regulations and local laws.
  3. Responsible for issuing cheques and bank transfers for WB/JRS Office payments.
  4. Prepare all WB/JRS Post-backs for Banks & cash.
  5. Prepare salary transfers & ensure correct booking of projects, accounts, and amounts.
  6. Follow up with logistics on payments supporting documents
  7. Responsible for the follow-up and settlements of advanced and travel claims.
  8. Responsible for Banks reconciliation for WB/JRS office
  9. Responsible for finance backlog/SSD.
  10. Responsible for photocopying, scanning, and archiving Finance documents in the file systems.
  11. Responsible for NRC Finance files.
  12. Stamp all invoices by Paid and donor Stamps
  13. Undertake any other reasonable task assigned by management

Professional Competencies:

  • Experience from working as a Finance Assistant in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • At least one year of experience in a similar position.
  • Very Good command of English and Arabic, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Hebrew language is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Finance and Accounting or any related field
  • Experience with computers, particularly Excel and database programs.
  • Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
