Responsibilities

Generic responsibilities

These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work and Development plan.

  1. Support and Implement NRC’s systems and procedures at area level.
  2. Support the adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, and donor requirements.
  3. Ensure proper filing of all support documents.
  4. Support line supervisors in procedures and require support team training.
  5. Support the supervisor for the Management of Country office financial team.
  6. Support the management to Implement anti-corruption policy.

Specific responsibilities

Accounting, Banking, Auditing, Budgeting and Reporting

  • Looking after and managing the Cash and Bank of NRC at the Country Office level including preparation of cash request to be shared with HO
  • Review, process, and follow-up on payments related to Country Office (CO) and Area Offices (AOs)
  • Be the main focal person to post payments on Agresso (UNIT4 ERB) for Country Office
  • Lead on process of the monthly financial closure including closing all balance accounts and submitting BRS to MENA office
  • Clear Amortization, bank reconciliation, intermediate accounts, and 1560/1561 at Country office level
  • Monitor exchange rate on monthly basis and report to FM
  • Monthly transaction list check at Country Office level to identify any missing/incorrect budget IDs, donor codes, and activity code
  • Maintain and develop a good archiving system at country office level
  • Be the focal person to communicate with Tunis chartered accountant regarding Tunis monthly payments for Tax and quarterly payments for social security. In addition to the monthly financial statement’s preparation
  • Be the focal point for legal Tunisian annual audit including preparation and submission of financial documents
  • Monthly update of TopDown to reflect the actuals and spending plan for projects
  • Work on preparation of the BVAs on a monthly basis and share with budget holders
  • When requested, review and post of the master budget
  • Attend procurement meeting as finance focal person for Country office
  • Review and approval of PR, PO, expenses claim, and payments at country office level according to the authorization table
  • Monthly clearance of LYFX0000, national salary, and international salary account
  • Post and clear Tunis social security and Tax accounts on a monthly basis
  • When requested, review and post of budget and TopDown
  • When requested, review and post of spending plans
  • When requested, prepare and share the financial report of project with FM
  • Any other Finance accounting, Banking, and Auditing tasks as requested and delegated by the Line Manager
