We are looking for Finance Partnership Technical Assistant Ukraine, to join our team in NRC Ukraine country office. This is a very rewarding and exciting opportunity to grow with NRC and support in assisting hundreds of thousands of people in Ukraine.

What you will do:

  1. Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
  2. Assist with the implementation of the Finance function portfolio according to plan of action
  3. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
  4. Supporting finance team with filing, scanning and maintaining organized filing system with all financial and accounting documents and ensure filing is done according to NRC standards
  5. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the Finance function
  6. Ensure NRC finance, HR, logistics guidelines are followed
  7. Any other duties that will be assigned by Finance Manager and Finance Coordinator
  8. Verify that vouchers and supporting documents meet NRC standards before payment. Be responsible for payments to Implementing Partners.
  9. Check Partner`s financial reports, ensure that all supporting documents meet NRC standards, clear and eligible.
  10. Ensure implementing of the routine for securing supporting documentation in a digital format.
  11. Assist the Finance Coordinator (FC) and the Finance Manager (FM) in internal and external audits

What you will bring:

  • Experience from working as a Finance Assistant/Accountant
  • Professional knowledge of accounting
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Knowledge of English, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of the context in the areas NRC operates
  • Fluency in Ukrainian written and verbal
  • Knowledge of legal tax base for the representation office
  • Experience from working with local financial institutions and tax authorities
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial systems
  • Experience with start-up of humanitarian/recovery or related programmes is an asset

Обов’язки:

  • Забезпечувати дотримання політики, інструментів, довідників і інструкцій NRC;
  • Відповідати за ведення та зберігання фінансових документів Партнерських Організацій у фізичному та цифровому форматі у відповідно до стандартів NRC;
  • Здійснювати оплати Партнерським Організаціям, відповідати за перевірку відповідності ваучерів та супровідних документів Політикам NRC;
  • Верифікувати Фінансові звіти Партнерських Організацій;
  • Допомагати фінансовому менеджеру та фінансовому координатору у підготовці до внутрішніх і зовнішніх аудитів, що проводяться в NRC Ukraine
  • Інші обов'язки, які будуть делеговані фінансовим менеджером і фінансовим координатором

Професійні компетенції:

  • Досвід роботи фінансовим помічником/бухгалтером;
  • Професійні знання бухгалтерського обліку;
  • Вільне володіння українською як письмово, так і усно;
  • Знання англійської мови, як письмово, так і усно;
  • Знання контексту сфер, в яких працює NRC;
  • Знання правової бази оподаткування для Представництва
  • Досвід роботи з місцевими фінансовими установами та податковими органами
  • Досвід роботи зі старапами в гуманітарній сфері чи пов’язаних з нею проєктами, буде перевагою

What We Offer

  • Duty station: Kyiv
  • Contract duration: Employment contract – till 31 Dec 2023 with the possibility of extension subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance
