- Very good command of MS Excel.
- Experience in using SAP/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) expertise, especially in the Funds Management (FM) & Financial (FI) Modules.
- Basic knowledge of internal controls and proper accounting procedures and systems.

We are currently seeking to fill an Innovation Accelerator Events Project Manager position in the INKA division, based in Munich, Germany.

Based in Munich, Germany, the WFP Innovation Accelerator provides WFP employees, entrepreneurs and start-ups with funding, hands-on support, and access to WFP’s global operations. Through the Innovation Accelerator, WFP is leveraging unprecedented advances in digital innovation - such as mobile technology, artificial intelligence and blockchain - and new business models to transform the way it serves vulnerable communities across the world. In 2021, Accelerator supported innovations that positively impacted the lives of 9 million people globally. Duties and responsibilities:
The Finance Operations Consultant, reporting to the Operational Finance Coordinator of the WFP Innovation Accelerator, is expected to:
- Support the WFP Innovation Accelerator grant process for funding external innovation projects/entities (such as start-ups) and ensure that all processes are fully defined and implemented, including:
- Support the adoption of the new grant process (including the creation of workflows, documentation, written guidance, etc).
- Support the design, completion, and tracking of all needed grant provision internal financial and operational processes (including forms, submission on digital platforms, reporting, file organization, meeting setup, and minutes);
- Support the completion of financial and operational due diligence as per the grant process that will be defined;
- Support creating and maintaining relevant databases compliant with WFP standards and the relevant directives, including all approved Innovation Projects and their application documents.
- Work in close collaboration with internal counterparts to align operational, process, and financial activities;
- Retrieve, format, and validate forms/information obtained from various information systems and bring any discrepancy or inaccuracy to the attention of the supervisor and follow up corrective actions;
- Provide guidance to other colleagues on the processes linked to the grant process.
- Support the overall Finance operations:
- Provide analysis & content preparation (data on projects, PowerPoint presentations, briefs, etc.) for corporate priority topics and management meetings;
- Participate and carry out discussions with colleagues in other divisions or external stakeholders on topics related to innovation;
- Support other core processes of the Innovation Accelerator (e.g. innovation sourcing; innovation bootcamps; sprint programme; thought leadership; scale-up enablement; innovation services; knowledge management) as required;
- Support the Head of the Innovation Accelerator and the Director of Innovation and Knowledge Management with any other activities as required.
Required qualifications and experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree a plus
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in general financial and/or administrative work. Corporate knowledge of United Nations or WFP financial operations, accounting, budget, procurement and operational processes is preferable.

- Experience in using SAP/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) expertise, especially in the Funds Management (FM) & Financial (FI) Modules
- Very good command of MS Excel
- Basic knowledge of internal controls and proper accounting procedures and systems.

Language requirements:
- Fluency in oral and written English is mandatory. Intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish), Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages) or German is beneficial.
