The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent, non-profit, humanitarian organization. Since the onset of the war in Ukraine, we have seen a large-scale of displacement of Ukrainians fleeing to the neighboring countries. In response to this, NRC is in the process of setting up humanitarian operations for refugees arriving in Poland, Romania and Moldova. We are focusing on an integrated approach that combines our sectoral areas of expertise – education, livelihood, protection/Site Management, legal aid (ICLA) and shelter – with the needs of a mobile refugee population, working to a great extent through local partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for cash accounts as cash safe holder.
  • Responsible to initiate the payment through banking system after bank payments are verified by FM
  • Responsible to generate the payment prove from banking system for each bank payments.
  • Arrange the supporting documents before pay out the cash and initiate the bank payments.
  • Prepare the weekly postback formats for cash and bank payments based on the supporting documents.
  • Responsible to prepare the reconciliation of bank and cash accounts.
  • Responsible to collect the timesheets and arrange the supporting documents for the payroll voucher after it is posted by Finance Coordinator.
  • Focal point for the finance filling tree of the voucher section.
  • Assist arranging vouchers for audit when required.
  • Support verifying partners expenses with supporting documents.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in accounting, finance or equivalent is preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Finance Officer
  • Experience from working as a Finance Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context is an asset.
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
  • Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems.
  • Ability to use MS office

Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s salary scale and terms and conditions for Poland

Duty station: Warsaw, Poland
