The incumbent will utilize their expertise in the areas of financial management and VISION and related systems to propose creative solutions to address business and technical problems, and drive implementation of solutions, either as a project manager or advisor. S/he will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts in other domains in DFAM and ICTD, amongst others, to analyze, design, develop and implement business processes. Provides Subject Matter Expertise from business process redesign through testing, training, and business support, in the following business areas of SAP: Finance, Accounting, Controlling and Assets. Coordinates with Field, Regional and other HQ division subject matter experts to identify and resolve business process or data related issues.

As well as implement Strategic and Cost-effective Solutions to Accounting and Finance Business Problems.

How can you make a difference?

The key functions of this position are:

• Analysis of business drivers and requirements in alignment with existing VISION environment and proposes solutions for alignment of the systems functionality with business processes requirements.

• Continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of systems used for financial recording, analysis, and reporting.

• As required, manage or support system changes required for process improvement initiatives and the resultant changes, from design through to implementation.

• Support staff engagement in relation to process queries and facilitate any resolutions as required

• Prepare project plans with key milestones, whilst providing subject matter expertise for assigned projects. Analysis of VISION-related Financial Issues

• Contribute to the design and development of the core VISION solution, and related satellite systems, including the design and creation of fit-for-purpose system and process

• Lead role in analyzing and troubleshooting complex systems issues in Finance and Accounting areas and working with business owners and ICTD to ensure a coordinated approach.

• Contribute to FI data integrity by ensuring that issues are documented, researched, implemented, and concluded.

• Actively promote and strengthen the capacity of DFAM staff with regards to VISION and related systems.

• Provide ongoing support to the business users by responding to inquiries and issues regarding specific issues relating to systems or processes, ensuring efficient resolution with minimal impact to business performance.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education: -An advanced university degree (Master's) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required. -A recognized Professional Accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, etc.) will be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree. -Extensive technical knowledge and experience with SAP specifically Financial Accounting (FI) and SAP Controlling (CO) modules is also required.

Experience: -A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience with at least five (5) years practical working experience in SAP Accounting, and/or financial management is required. -Strong understanding of international Accounting Standards is highly desirable. -Prior experience in system integration and building automations preferred. -Must be able to take on high-level project requirements, and work both independently and as well as a team member to create a specification, data requirements, implementation plan, and act as focal point

Language requirements: -Fluency in English is required. -Working knowledge of another UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an advantage
