Overview

Lead NRC Palestine accounting work and ensure compliance with regulations.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or any related matters.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience from working at similar level in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Excellent Knowledge of the Palestinian and Israeli taxation laws.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Hebrew language is required.

The purpose of a Coordinator position is to Lead NRC Palestine accounting work. The following is a brief description of the role:

Responsibilities

Function-specific responsibilities:

  1. Lead the accountancy work in Palestine office.
  2. Responsible for the national salary calculation for all areas.
  3. Responsible to allocate the international salaries and costs to NRC projects and ZERO the intermediate project.
  4. Responsible for tax rules and regulations for national and international staff, also for consultant and deduction at source.
  5. Coordinate with Gaza Cash Cards accounts management.
  6. Comply with Project and Annual Audits in coordination with the Risk and Compliance unit.
  7. Contribute to the Ministry of Interior yearly report requirement and be responsible for Ministry of Finance yearly report.
  8. Responsible for preparing and loading the international time sheets.
  9. Follow up on international payments to clear account 1560.
  10. Responsible for all WB & Gaza reallocations and clearing advances.
  11. Responsible for Authorization Table.
  12. Prepare Country Office & Head Office Z distribution, exchange rate revaluation, BRS and be responsible for the closing of the month.
  13. Supervise the Implementing partner’s work including tracking of payments, financial reports, and booking of cost according to donors’ rules and regulations.
  14. Undertake any other reasonable task assigned by management
