What will you do?

Verify vendor payments, advances, and other payables, observe appropriate procurement procedures, to ensure that suppliers are paid on time;

Update and reconcile daily cash position as per the daily expenditures report and monitor monthly expenditures for reporting;

Monitor the sub-imprest and petty cash accounts regularly, to ensure that adequate funds are available;

Maintain an adequate filling system, to ensure that all documents are maintained and filed in compliance with WFP standards and guidelines;

Record all finance transactions in WINGS in a timely manner;

Record Guest house bills and personal telephone bill recovery on monthly basis;

Coordinate with other teams to ensure that all financial services are being performed efficiently;

Perform other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Completion of secondary school education.

Experience:

At least three years of working experience in collecting and monitoring financial data on projects and programmes, making simple analysis, and reporting findings. A university degree in Finance, Administration, or other related functional area is desirable.

Successfully completed an 8-month internship programme with WFP Somalia.

Knowledge & Skills:

Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word.

Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision.

Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals.

Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attention.
