Contract

This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

Over the last five years, UNCDF through UNDP has had outstanding unclaimed VAT from the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) as a result of most vendors failing to file for VAT returns to URA. Consequently, UNDP requires UNCDF to provide proof of VAT filling, A tax invoice and a receipt in the names of UNDP from all vendors with unclaimed VAT since 2018 to 2021. With the Covid -19 lockdown in 2019- 2021, all payments were done through EFT based on soft invoices making it difficult to obtain hard copies from vendors as required by UNDP for VAT submission. This has resulted in accumulation of uncollected VAT for 2019-2021. Secondly future audits and Project closures require that all files are put in a well-organized manner for proper reference and ease of access to information and a well-documented Asset register. This therefore requires personnel on UNV programme with a Finance background to support these activity/ operations for a period of Twelve (12) Months.

Under the supervision of the UNCDF Programme Managers and in close coordination with the Programme Associate, the Finance Associate will support and provide a set of services to enhance the operations of the office. Put in Place proper document Filing system for all UNCDF programmes for ease of access to information and for project closures and future audits. 4.
