Finance Assistant ( Afghan National Only )

Job Description
- Cross check the volunteers and screeners payrolls. - Make sure the advance clearances are documented properly. - Ensure transparency and accountability in all budget expenditures and authorizations. - Monitor field financial documentations. - Scan and file the financial documents properly. - Assist with year end documentations and external audit preparation. - Review and verify the transactions spreadsheet and supporting documents from field office ensuring compliance with IRC procedures/policy. - Create field fund requests on BVA and follow up them to be processed on time. - Check the purchase requests on BVA to have appropriate and underspent lines. - Assist finance colleagues in getting approvals on documents which need to have approvals. - Make sure all financial documentations are according to the rules and regulations of the office. - Make sure the payments are adequately supported by the relevant documentation. - Check the justification of awards to be according to the quotations and scoring sheets and have appropriate documents. - Participate in some site visits for vendor selections. - Make sure the taxes are deducted correctly. - Providing support to finance team members during the monthly and yearly closure of the accounts. - Work closely with FM to check all financial requests and payments to avoid any inaccurate documentation. - Having good relationship with other department staff and vendors. - Any other Task assigned by direct / technical supervisors.
Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of computer office package especially MS Excel and MS word packages. - Bachelor’s degree is must, Master will be preferred – prior experience with computerized accounting package and payment examining. - At least 1-2 years working experience with INGOs. Past experiences with audit firms will be preferred. - Detail orientated, organized, and able to work well in fast paced environment. - Should be able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal skills) - Should be able to work in cross-cultural environment. - Should be a team-player, with flexible working habits and willingness to take on additional tasks as required to forward the aims of the team. - Should have team spirit, and work to foster good cooperation with other colleagues in the team and wider IRC Country Program.
