You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business Administration or related field;
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or administrative role;
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in VAT claim process;
  • Proficiency with Excel as a tool for data input;
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French, English added advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of finance and administrative functions;
  • Ability to solve complex problems and to exercise independent judgment;
  • Able to work in a cross-cultural environment with a multi-national staff;

Key Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support timely payments of suppliers and staff by securing approvals on time(box or Omniplus platform);
  • Support proper filing system for all financial transactions in place;
  • Record and file all correspondences for easy consultation in case of need;
  • Support in recording OVs in omniplus platform and ensure proof of payment is attached on the document before filling;
  • Facilitate timely VAT claim process;
  • Record all deposits for VAT reimbursed;
  • Prepare and share the monthly status of VAT claim Vs VAT reimbursed;
  • Prepare monthly tax payable to the government;
  • Assist the finance department to organize weekly departmental meeting; devotions, team buildings and other events as appropriate;
  • Take and file minutes for departmental meetings
  • Support any other meeting organize by finance in or out of the office;
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and ensure timely submission required documents;
  • Work on department supplies as appropriate
  • Promote and practice transparency and integrity for stewardship of resources;
  • Perform any other duty as assigned by the line manage /head of department.

KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business Administration or related field;
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or administrative role;
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in VAT claim process;
  • Understanding of, and demonstrating experience with filing system, collaboration with bank institutions and other stakeholders; understanding of internal controls will be an advantage;
  • Proficiency with Excel as a tool for data input;
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication
  • Solid knowledge of finance and administrative functions;
  • Ability to solve complex problems and to exercise independent judgment;
  • Able to work on a cross-cultural environment with a multi-national staff;
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French, English added advantage.
