Overview

Provide finance, administrative and IT support to Area Program.

You have:

  • Minimum Year 12 in Business Administration, Finance/Economics or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a similar capacity.
  • Well-developed computer skills, MS Office package and any accounting package.
  • Demonstrated ability to work gracefully under pressure while providing responsive customer service.
  • Ability to contribute and work cooperatively within a team environment.
  • Practical understanding and ability to follow policies and appropriately apply procedures.
  • General working knowledge of World Vision Finance systems such as SUN.

World Vision Solomon Islands (WVSI) is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Since 19XX, we have been working to transform communities through program delivery in education, health care, water, sanitation & hygiene, agriculture and sustainable livelihoods. The purpose of this position is to provide finance, administrative and IT support to Area Program as well as a strong link to the General Service Department and Finance Office in Honiara for transparency and accountability by:

  • • Helping to implement financial policies for budgets, cash management, and supplier payment with established and appropriate policies relevant to respective projects and WV financial policy.
  • • Helping to promote financial stewardship, accountability and reliability of financial transactions
  • • Helping to administer all aspects of office management, including filing and organization.
  • • Assisting to implement IT policies, procedures and best practices and enable the operation of the department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization in cooperation with Senior IT Officer.
