  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of the context in different regions of Myanmar and NSAs operating in the area
  • Knowledge of Myanmar and other major ethnic language in Myanmar
  • Experience with similar position in other organizations
  • Experience of working with Civil Societies

The purpose of a Field Office Coordinator is to manage a support team at field office level and to ensure quality support to program implementation in Area Field Offices; ensure security policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to; and ensure effective liaison between NRC and Area level stakeholders.

Reports to: Area Manager

Supervision of: Support Staff in Area Field Offices

Duty station: Bhamo

Grade: 7

Travel: 50%

Qualifications

  • Experience from working as a Liaison and Coordination roles in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of the context in different regions of Myanmar and NSAs operating in the area.
  • Knowledge of Myanmar and other major ethnic language in Myanmar.
  • Experience with similar position in other organizations.
  • Experience of working with Civil Societies.

Responsibilities

  1. Comply with and ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks and procedures and SOPs/guideline.
  2. Line management for support staff such as Finance, HR & Admin and Logistic/ICT.
  3. Manage day to day HR & Admin, Finance, Logistics, Security tasks, Government Operation of the field office.
  4. Coordinate and cooperate with NRC stakeholders (government, UN, INGO, LNGO, agencies, NSA) according to strategy and plans.
  5. Cooperate with relevant partners and networking to other external actors.
  6. Ensure proper filing of all liaison documents concern.
  7. Ensure proper coordination on daily operations between support team and program teams.
  8. Ensure adherence to Security and Risk Management policies and procedure.
  9. Security Focal Point for field office.
  10. Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in the activities.
