Assist the Logistics Supervisor with refugee logistics tasks
You have:
- Must pass a background check
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week for a minimum of 3 consecutive months.
- Submit intern hours on volunteer dashboard
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Housing Intern will assist the Logistics Supervisor with the following tasks:
- Assist with essential logistics tasks related to refugee/parolee arrivals. This includes procuring or coordinating food, housing supplies, phones, internet service, transporting clients, communicating with external partners, and more. - Work with volunteers to move furniture and supplies into a unit, set up the unit, transport clients, or oversee lease signings, etc. - Help build and manage internal systems, write case notes, work on case file management, file receipts, credit card transactions, fill out applications, etc. - Other duties as assigned
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication and writing skills - Second language ability preferred - Organized with attention to detail - Able to work independently and under pressure - An interest in international issues - Strong desire to help people and enthusiasm for working in a multi-cultural setting. - Computer literacy – preferably with PC systems - Valid driver’s license, reliable access to an insured vehicle.

This will be an in-person role. This position will report to the Logistics Supervisor.
