Background

Nabni Facility (Nabni-نبني meaning ‘we build’ in Arabic), is an initiative that seeks to further the Building for Peace (B4P) approach, and which aims to support locally led reconstruction processes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region that also address the underlying drivers of conflict, that renew social relations, create new economic opportunities and strengthen social cohesion in local communities.

Nabni Facility introduces an innovative partnership model forging long-term strategic relationships in fragile contexts with Local Non-Governmental Organisations (LNGOs), centered around quality funding, capacity development and learning. The Nabni Facility is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the KfW Development Bank.
