How can you make a difference?

Under the direct supervision of the Donor Relations Specialist, the Reports Specialist will oversee and contribute to collection of information, data analysis, planning and drafting of reports, and development of information material targeting donors on issues related to UNICEF Jordan’s Country Programme. Specific responsibilities are highlighted below:

1) Coordinates with CO programme colleagues to ensure high quality and timely strategic reporting by assisting in the drafting of reports, sitreps and / or proposals as well providing guidance and quality control on donor reporting and requirements, in addition to reporting requirements in emergencies. 2) In collaboration with PFP and PPD, provides oversight, technical support and guidance to the country office regarding contribution management and reporting issues. Improves systems and processes to monitor grants and performance against key indicators related to contribution management and donor reporting. Ensures compliance with UNICEF standards and guidelines on oversight of CO’s donor reports, including managing a quality assurance system of annual sampling and feedback. 3) Proposes and /or undertakes action on operational procedures to ensure there are effective work processes on donor report submission in the CO as well as proper and efficient system of managing the records of CO donor reports / proposals. 4) Identifies capacity strengthening needs in the CO related to reporting; accordingly, designs, prepares and implements various trainings or on-site support to CO as deemed appropriate to ensure that the relevant staff have the most up-to-date information on reporting guidelines and requirements, with the support of PFP, PPD, and RO colleagues where required. 5) Contributes to the preparation and / or review of relevant reports for the Partnerships section as well as prepares key briefing materials for the Representative when required. 6) Prepares status reports required for management, donors, budget review, programme analysis, annual reports, etc. 7) Supporting in the production of newsletters, donor updates, case studies, appeals specific to donor portfolio may be required.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Education: An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: communications, reporting or resource mobilization and reporting on results and/or any other relevant discipline is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of professional experience in communication, programme planning, management, reporting and/or monitoring and evaluation is required. Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset. Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is considered an asset.
