This is a P-2 contract. This kind of contract is known as Professional and Director staff. It is normally internationally recruited only. It's a staff contract. It usually requires 2 years of experience, depending on education.

Salary

The salary for this job should be between 78,015 USD and 105,964 USD.

The international rate of 57,661 USD, with an additional 35.3% (post adjustment) at this the location, applies. Please note that depending on the location, a higher post adjustment might still result in a lower purchasing power.

How can you make a difference?

Under the guidance and general supervision of the Chief of Partnerships (), within the Partnerships Section, the Officer Assists in the support of an integrated project particularly in planning, implementing and monitoring an advocacy and communication strategy, support with donor reporting and resource mobilization and coordinate the synthesis of the integrated project work to strengthen political will in support of UNICEF's mission and objectives in the country, and enhance the organization’s credibility and brand. Specific responsibilities are highlighted below:

  • Integrated Programme Coordination: Support the oversight of the work plan targets and financial components of the project to ensure synergy across the programme sections in a coordinated manner. Conduct regular meetings (quarterly/bi-annually) with programme teams to review that targets and financial use are on track. Ensure synergy and inter-sectorality within UNICEF programme areas for gaining efficiencies.
  • Communication Materials: Ensure that the production of communication products and materials is timely executed and followed up.
  • Monitoring and evaluation: Regular monitoring and evaluation activities are undertaken according to the work plan to ensure maximum impact. Ensure results and reports are prepared and shared on a timely basis.
  • Donor Reporting and Resource Mobilization: Regular donor reporting and resource mobilization documents/products are consolidated, reviewed, edited and finalized. Ensure that the production of reporting and resource mobilization products and materials are timely executed to support the country resource mobilization strategy, as set out in the work plan. Update donor-related fundraising and information products including donor briefing pack factsheets and donor briefs. Consolidate, develop, edit and finalize donor reports. Proofread and edit other documents, including human interest stories, upon request.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have

  • Education: A university degree is required in one of the following fields: international relations, political science, communications, international development, or another relevant technical field, and/or any other relevant discipline is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years practical professional work experience in donor reporting and/or communication. Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset. Direct or indirect KOICA experience is an important advantage. Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Korean is required.
