How can you make a difference?

The Private Sector Fundraising Section, UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is seeking an individual contractor to support TCO partnership and fundraising objectives, achieved through the marketing, cultivation and securing of high value corporate partnerships. The consultancy will also support the development of partnership propositions, campaigns, and related content such as marketing materials, proposals, and reports, as well as coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the above.

Work Assignment:

(1) Assist the section in new business activities including:

a. Researching potential prospects for partnerships aligning with UNICEF’s mission, vision, and principles

b. Cultivating relationships with prospects to facilitate understanding of prospect interests and opening partnership discussions

c. Producing proposals and conducting pitches

d. Negotiating and securing partnership agreements

e. Developing pipeline and engagement strategies the Blue Carpet Show for UNICEF and other campaigns

(2) In consultation with the supervisor and Partnerships team, provide technical knowledge in developing fundraising products including proposals, propositions, marketing materials, etc. and supporting projects and consultancies to drive the Partnerships new business strategy.

(3) Provide assistance in select partnership management activities including event management, partnership content, etc. as required by the Partnerships team.

End Product(s):

- Securing of new business (agreements, funding) in alignment with Partnerships team New Business goals

- Development of partnerships marketing and fundraising products in alignment with overall Partnerships team production plans

- Select partnership management activities successfully executed to achieve partnership goals

Duration of Contract: 23 May 2022 to 7 May 2023 (11.5 Months – starting date can be discussed).

Working Location: Under conditions of limited community transmission, this will require 2 days per week in UNICEF office in Bangkok during the consultancy period.

Working Schedule: Full-time basis and goals will be set at the commencement of the consultancy and reviewed on a monthly basis.

Official Travel: To be advised upon available.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

1) Advanced university degree in a related field, e.g. Business Administration, Public Relations, Marketing and Communications

A first-level university degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.

2) Demonstrate 3 years or more of relevant professional experience; preferably experience in corporate advisory services, corporate sales, corporate fundraising and/or public relations activities in marketing and communication.

3) Thai Nationality.

4) Experience managing marketing and brand-building corporate engagements, including customer fundraising, cause marketing, and charity media events.

5) Knowledge of UNICEF and UN partnership approaches and procedures is a plus.

6) Proficiency in the use of computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software, is required.

7) Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and execute ideas.

8) Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form.

9) Good analytical, negotiation, persuading, interpersonal and networking skills.

10) Proven ability to manage complex projects and a track record of success.

11) Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in an international multicultural environment.

12) Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

13) Meet UNICEF’s Core Values and Competencies (CRITA).
