**OVERVIEW** ------------ Parent Sector : Division of Public Information (DPI) Duty Station: Baghdad Job Family: Public Information Type of contract : Non Staff Duration of contract : From 1 to 6 months Recruitment open to : External candidates Application Deadline (Midnight Paris Time) : 24-Aug-2021 UNESCO Core Values: Commitment to the Organization, Integrity, Respect for Diversity, Professionalism **OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST** ----------------------------------------- **Background:** In February 2019, UNESCO and the European Union signed project Reviving Mosul and Basra Old Cities, recognizing the power of culture as a driver of social and economic development. The 3-year long project aims to promote social cohesion and reconciliation through the restoration and reconstruction of historic urban landscapes in Mosul and Basra. In both old cities, urban reconstruction projects will be implemented jointly with job creation and skills development, responding to a severe lack of work opportunities, especially among young people, internally displaced persons and returnees. Long Description ---------------- **Work assignment:** Under the overall authority of the Director of UNESCO Iraq Office, and the overall supervision of the Head of Culture, and direct supervision of the Public Information Officer, the consultant will implement the tasks and responsibilities under the “Reviving Mosul and Basra Old Cities” project. **A. In this regard,** the Consultant shall conduct the following tasks: a) Produce high resolution videos for the UNESCO activities in Mosul (footage with montage) and raw footage; and assist with content development b) Provide high quality resolution photographs of the UNESCO activities, showing progress of the activities, in Mosul including photos of the traditional houses, and cultural practices (as instructed by the Project team); c) Provide drone footage in the Old City, editing photographs and videos after the filming as required by the project team. d) Produce Human-Interest Stories, at least 2 per week, including written content and various formats photographs/video’s/audio-material/web story. (“Each video, for example, must be accompanied by a short story presenting the video.) e) Edit photos and videos as requested by the Project Team and Public Information Officer f) Provide 2-3 audio-visual and photo content for social media on a weekly basis g) Accompany project team and missions, as requested by supervisors and project team, to project sites and produce visibility materials immediately after the visits. Long Description ---------------- **B. Requirement:** The consultant must be in possession of all equipment necessary to undertake the work. Wide angle lens required. **C. Deliverables:** The Consultant shall submit the video and photos of the sites on a regular/ at least weekly basis, as per the assignment above; all contents must be provided no later than the actual duration of the contract. Academic Qaulification:** Completed Secondary School education / Technical diploma in the related areas of public information. **2. years of relevant work experience:** 3-4 years of skilled photography and videography **3. Languages requirement:** Arabic (distinguished) – English (intermediate). **4.
